Hi Mica,

I need a new nut for my Alembic Mark King Signature Standard serial number: 99MJ2043, model number MJLB4 (March 23, 1999)

I have changed strings to: Ernie Ball RoundWound Extra 40/60/70/95 to get closer to Mark King/ Stanley Clarke sound.

So I get some rattle from the nut now - and belive I have to get a new nut from you?

Is there any other string set you can recommend for me - similar to this - to get Mark King sound? What did he use on his Alembic?

regards

Hi Mica,

I have now bought another set whic is closer to the right sound/feel:

RotoSound Swing Electric Bass 4 String Roundwound Long Scale, .035 .055 .70 .090

So the brass nut I need to be made is for these string sizes.

I really need this fast. If you can't make it really soon (within a few weeks.) is it possible to use current Nut - and file a bit in it?

regards

You can certainly raise the nut you have and file the new slots deeper. We can't make a nut remotely - these are hand-fit to each bass individually. We can send ou a nut blank that you can have professionally installed locally. Instructions are included.

I'm sorry that I'm not familiar with the strings Mark Kign regularly uses - he didn't order anything special on his basses.
