Were you planning on bidding on one of the ones on Ebay because if you are I will hold off on bidding on it so I dont drive the price up for you. I just want to have one by the time my Elan is ready so there is no rush for me to grab a SF2 right now.

Funny story I heard that a guy was playing with the SF2 in a store set the frequencies real low and everyone got sick in the store. Dont know how true that story is...

I was thinking of bidding, but that's only if my bro agrees with me to get it as a joint b-day present from our parents, mostly because it has the 2 channels, but I really wouldn't count on my buying it, I'll post later today with my decision, and thanks because that was really nice. I love the Elan that you are having made so Congrats!!! That would be quite the story if it was true ;-)

UP FOR SALE IS A 1978 ALEMBIC SERIES ONE,4 STRING BASS GUITAR IN GOOD CONDITION. EBAY ITEM Item number: 280353833736. I PURCHASED IT IN 1979. IT SHOWS NORMAL WEAR WHICH IS NORMAL FOR AN INSTRUMENT OF THIS AGE. IT'S STILL A THING OF BEAUTY! I WOULD FURTHER MY INVESTMENT AND MAKE IT LIKE NEW AGAIN! I GOT A QUOTE FROM ALEMBIC A YEAR AGO OF JUST $900.00 MORE TO RENEW NECK AND ALL WOODS AND VENEERS TO NEW! ALMOST ALL ALEMBICS OF THIS AGE WOULD ALSO REQUIRE AN ELECTRONIC UPGRADE MAKING IT IMPERVIOUS TO NOISE! IMAGINE A NEW ALEMBIC FOR HALF THE PRICE! COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL CASE. I DON'T HAVE THE POWER SUPPLY AND LEAD. THIS IS A 1978 MEDIUM SCALE BASS, SERIAL NUMBER 781151. TOP IS SCHEDUA,BACK IS SCHEDUA, CORE IS MAHOGANY,NECK IS MAPLE/AMARANTH, FINGERBOARD IS EBONY,VENEERS ARE WALNUT ,ANODIRF, TUNERS ARE SCHALLERS,INLAYS ARE MOTHER OF PEARL,SCALE LENGTH IS 24, ALEMBIC ELECTRONICS ARE PF6. I SENT IT TO ALEMBIC ABOUT A YEAR AGO TO BE SERVICED & WAS TOLD TO MAKE THIS "NEW" LIKE THE 13,500.00 SERIES 1 WOULD BE A LITTLE UNDER $3000.00. $900.00 FOR THE FINISH AND CLOSE TO $2000.00 FOR THE NEW ELECTRONICS PACK TO BLOCK OUT NOISE. BACK IN THE DAY THERE WASN'T ALL THESE CELL PHONES AND SUCH THAT THE OLD PICKUPS COULD PICKUP. I TALKED TO MICA AT ALEMBIC AND ONE OF HER PERSONAL AND THEY BOTH SAID THAT THIS BASS WOULD BE IN NEW CONDITION WITH THESE UPGRADES. SO THIS WOULD BE ABOUT HALF THE PRICE OF A NEW UNIT! CAN'T BEAT THAT! ONE DAY I WILL PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE BUT FOR NOW WE MUST PART! NOT AN EASY THING TO DO! YOU'LL PROBABLY WANT A NEW CASE, AS THIS ONE HAS SEEN IT'S SHARE OF MILES! BUT IT STILL PROTECTS THE INSTRUMENT, IT'S JUST NOT PRETTY! I WILL HAVE IT TAPED WELL FOR DOUBLE PROTECTION AS WHEN I SENT IT TO ALEMBIC! I WILL CHECK OUT VARIOUS DELIVERY OPTIONS AND LET YOU DECIDE WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU. CHECK OUT MY FEEDBACK AND BID WITH CONFIDENCE!
