Hello Friends ,

I was looking for a combo 2 x 10 a few weeks ago and i finally choosed the Markbass cmd 102 p .

It's by far the best piece of equipment i bought so far , along with my all-tube Aguilar amp and preamp !

the sound is so hot , punchy with all eq-flat ! You can dial any sound you want with this crazy thing !...do i have to say it has such a huge power for a so small combo ...and the best is to come : 19,5 kg !!! ...a real delight for bass-players backs !!!

I hope it helps if someone has to buy a combo soon !

I have the Markbass 1x12 combo. For the most part it makes every bass I play through it wound the same. However, I like whatever sound that is, so it's not all that bad. Plus it's super light and loud, so I actually can carry all of my gear in one trip now!

I've been using a Markbass F1 as my carry around amp for about a year now. It weighs about 6 lbs, so why not, eh? 500 Watts in a 6 lb box? With clarity? Yessir. I still have an F-1X / Crown Xs500 rack, that kicks major butt, but do the math....500W at 6 lbs v 500W at 48lbs.

For the small venues I play, the F1 with a 4ohm 2X10 plus going through the house is very sufficient. If I play a larger or outdoor venue, I'll use the Alembic / Crown rack because I can drive two 4ohm speakers where the Markbass F1 can only drive one 4ohm.

I've yet to play a venue large enough to tempt me to send half my signal to the Alembic / Crown rack and the other half to the Markbass. That could be rather interesting.

Peace,

James

Hello Friends ,

I played my first gig with my new cmd 102p last week , and what i can tell you is that i don't think i'll carry my 2 tons-Aguilar stack anymore...except for larger venues , as James said .

The sound was really splendid , filters work damn good to colour your sound the way you want and , honestly , the power is absolutely more than sufficient : i used probably 1/5 of the available power and , believe me , it was already really loud . For bars , clubs , small and medium venues , there's no doubts at all : it 's a fantastic tool : great sound , light weight , huge power !

Best regards from Belgium !

Alain
