Can you please post information on Elan serial # 90H6047? I believe this is a Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center special, it has the Q switch plus quick tone change switches.

I rescued it from a pawn shop in Frederick MD. Photos to come!

Just curious to see if you would share the price you paid for this piece. I recently rescued an Essence 4 string from the clutches of a pawnshop and I am just curious to see if pawnshops generally offer Alembics at reasonable prices. Thanks

About 1k for unplayed, mint condition. The shop priced it from one of the used gear guides, I priced it from Ebay and other internet history. I watched the price decrease over several months - during which I had opportunity to play it numerous times. When I discussed the price at Chuck Levin's (where the bass was most likely sold from), they seemed to think that was reasonable.
