I was just talking to Mica about Alembic allowing the cameras in like Custom Motorcycle company Orange County Chopper.

It would be a show with a similar format that shows and stars our hero's making one guitar per show...

What are your thoughts?

I think the drama would be beautiful, and increase music appropriation of all types... The human side is nice too.

good idea, people will think i'm crazy when i say this, but it will put Alembic on a bigger spot on "the map". alot more people would know about them(which for some of us, could take away from being able to explain what our instruments) but could give Alembic more business

I can see many Cameo musical guess showing up at the Alembic gatherings and speaking candidly about their dream instruments.

My daughters would love seeing Susan and Mica in action.

Man, we wouldn't miss one episode, I'll even make sure its I get an HD TV, the guitars will shine better.

Hollywood potential greatness, starts from inside the editing rooms.

I made a presentation years ago to the discovery channel for a show called MONSTER GUITAR SHOP..the idea was to focus each show on a different builder making a unique instrument with unique one of a kind features.. and then by the end of the episode the instrument would be played live by a famous artist. Needless to say they passed on the idea and soon after I started seeing "monster" style shows, cars houses etc.
those bastards!!

Really, I agree.
It would have to be an intellectual twist on the creation of ART in
Guitar and Bass building and the LOVE of beautiful wood.

Sometimes its better and more alluring if the magic is never revealed.

Amen to that Danno!

Back in the 80's I was booked to play bass for 3 shows with what was one of my favorite singers (name omitted purposely).
I looked forward to that gig like a kid on Christmas Eve. To make a long story short, that singer is no longer one of my favorites. My nickname for him after those gigs was "Richard Head". ;)

I seen many magic shows on TV, and still can't figure out how they did it...

Hollywood potential greatness, starts from inside the editing rooms along with Mica, Susan and Ron (of course)before releasing video.

It's just a fun topic anyway...

I loved "Monster House".

There was one guy on The Monster House Show named: "Dr.Woods". Dr. Woods was the man!

Too bad that show was canceled.

Mica has already appeared on TV doing an Alembic piece for the futures channel. I think there's a similar show on winding pickups but I don't have a link for that.

I am not surprised... Alembic is TV worthy, and this very good quality video proves it.

Wow, I loved it. Great "class", Mica.

Someday I'll pay a visit to you. Never had the chance to travel to US, but if I had - someday - I'll make my way to Santa Rosa. Don't know how, don't know when, but I must closer look the magic going on. To me would be like meeting Mr Wonka!

Thanks, Graeme! You got me nearer to a dream.
