Besides picking your own Alembic(s), who's got the "I wish, I had that one...guitar/bass"

This should be fun if people join in...

I've never been shy of saying that this has got to be "that one!"

Of course, I love mine and I got to see some very special ones in NJ, but ...

MAy be this month special:

http://www.alembic.com/info/fc_ben.html

But I confess my dream Alembic would be a Cocobolo top 6 string Essence Bass with Rogue eletronics (since a Series harness may couldn't fit). I simply love the Essence petite bodie, so you can count Dave's Essence 6 on that too (if you mean some existing Bass a fellow here have).

In this order: Serial numbers 47, 16, and 13 (respectively)

The old ones are my favorites.

I have to go with 2 of the early featured customs...

http://www.alembic.com/info/doubleneck.html

http://www.alembic.com/info/sterling.html

But really, there are too many to pick just one or two!

Nice pic Harold! I was just thinking today about how glocke's SII probably got the most play at the NJ gathering......

Spose, what's the story w/ the carved one? is it a shop night project?!? That's INSANE!!!!!

Hey Mike, how is our favorite drummer doing? Greg is a lucky guy, but we all are and shouldn't forget it. We had a pretty impressive collection, eh?

This is difficult. Like trying to pick the most beautiful man/woman/car/etc. There is something for every taste and once you get to a certain level the differences are minor.

Who among us would turn down any of these?

Harold, I understand... there are so many beautiful Alembics, but I am sure there's one of them striking your fancy just a little more than the rest...

You can't please everybody anyway... I stop trying a very long time ago, and love myself even more for it!

That black one shown by Keavin has got to be close to the top of my favourite alembics. Although Clarkee's Dragon's breath has to be one bad alembic bass.
Here she is with her bad sister, Dragon Magic.

A friendly message:

For those people who are hesitant to post their favorite looking Alembic, I say: send me a private email, and I will post it and not reveal anything but the pictures. I just want people to see all the choice you feel is the BADDEST ALEMBIC.

Looks like Harold ( post #3 ) has the same dream bass in mind. When I imagine my dream Alembic, I visualize a Series 2 Coco OBS.

Hi serialnumber12 ,

The pic on the top of your post #516 that you posted is the inside of my Old GUILD/ALEMBIC with Pluto filters. I sold that bass around 1979 or so.

The future Baddest.

With all those beautiful basses here, I got tempted to compare "The new kid" beauty amongst the lot of Champion Thoroughbred Pedigrees.

Tom Z, that's cool, I knew of Alembic chopping up Guild basses but I wasn't aware of them butchering Guild guitars too. ;)

Anyway, that modified Guild Aristocrat looks interresting, I'd like to spend some time with that one.
