Well, I must say that there are Alembic news I was not aware of. So to say as my editor called me two days ago asking me if I could write a small presentation on the Alembic Darling Bass for the next issue of the german Bass mag Bass Quarterly. Darling Bass? YEP! This bass was just sold by the german Alembic distributor Station Music. Here are some pics and the facts, pics courtesy of Station Music. New Short Scale Model - 30,75" scale cocobolo top, vermillion body wood, maple accent woods, omega cut, tummy and elbow shaping, ebony fingerboard, maple-vermillion neck woods, Abalone inlays, gold machine heads, clear gloss body finish, 2 MXY4 pickups, red side LED's weight: 4,71 kg (Message edited by senmen on December 06, 2009) |

I would like to try one of those out! I have never been able to play a large body bass successfully because I am so short. I wonder how this would do. It looks tiny. I like it. |

Very nice, this was already spotted: Click here If you hit enter after every } (in \popgif {73686,} ) this will get a lot more readable. With small pictures you can take two or three pictures and just hit the spacebar (or nothing) between them (the pictures will show up next to each other) You can do this yourself by editing your message |

I always thought that the Darling body and Balance K were essentially the same, with the exception of the length of the upper horn. Until I looked at them side by side I didn't realize how big the difference is! |

it would look more awesome if the horns would be bigger and wider; more aggressive. atleast in my eyes (Message edited by potato1992 on December 06, 2009) |

Oh my. LOVE. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I'm guessing a 35" scale would neck dive though. And that makes teh baby jebus cry. Otherwise I'd have a new body shape to lust over for my next custom. |
