Hi,

I haven't even laid hands on my new SC yet and I have a couple of questions on the electronics.

My brown bass has the anniv elecs (PU sel, vol x2, Q switch x 2, stereo/mono switch, plus a switch for the side LEDs).

All of my other basses had a master vol and pan pot. How are ya'll using the vol/vol/pu sel arrangement? Do you set both vol's full on and adjust the master vol at the amp? I was thinking of setting the pu vols at the half way point. That way I can boost one pu and cut the other to alter the balance w/o effecting the master vol. Make sense?

Now, you throw in a PU sel switch and I'm even more confused. Is the vol effected when only one PU is selected? (i.e., will the volume be halved if I switch from both pu's to just the bridge pu?)

Finally, what do you use the "stand-by" setting for? I guess I can use it for silent tunning (I use the Intellitouch clip-on tuner). Can I unplug my bass in stand-by mode without turning down the amp and avoid the annoying "pop"?

Thanks and Happy New Year,
Kevin
