Hi Mica, I spoke to Steve Frank from Superbass.net today and he tells me that production has started on my Custom Orion 4 (something about the neck and body boards being glued together). Right now, it's a bunch of squares basically, and not much to document yet. This first stage doesn't involve glue at all, the boards are lined up adjacent to eachother. We learned long ago it's best to introduce the woods to eachother before commiting them with glue. The technique is one inherited from piano makers. I'm going out of town for a few days and will start a thread for you when I return next week. I'll email you when the thread is active, so you won't have to keep checking in. |
