waouw!!! This bass looks so beautiful, and so "worked"...
"Magnifique instrument", as I should say in Molière's language... :-)
Have a good day, everybody!

Another example of some fantastic walnut. What a beautiful instrument.

The logo looks very nice and unique; the shell behind the Alembic looks mysterious with its "layers".

Lots of really nice elements to this bass - love the bookmatch to center (I think that's what it's called), though I also love the mahogany neck laminates. And the black hardware!

Here's a "bonus" shot of the logo before the bass was completed:

The colors are very dynamic.

Beautiful shot of the logo! The layers in the shell suggest the elements within the Alembic before they come together in alchemy.

I think that's the most beautiful logo I've seen. The shell choices are perfect!

+1 on the logo

The shell choice used in the cloud portion is unreal! It really looks like there is storm happening if you look closely.

Great work!

Wow, Mica, that inlay looks like a storm building over the seas off of Hawai'i. What a stunner!

All this talk of storms reminds me there's a cloud of volcanic ash touring the globe. Here's where it's coming from...

volcano

For some reason this reminds me of Val's bird of prey.

... and it can ruin your travel schedule. (Air traffic in Northern Europe is only just starting up again today, after last Thursday.)

Lovely to watch, anyway - thanks for posting, Graeme!
