A long desired addition to my 1972 Rick Fireglo 4001 is on it's way to me from Florida. Alembic "Rick" Activator System! I got them for $500.00 I sold my original pickups and many extras to pay for them. I am so stoked!

Alembic PUPs increase the sonic value of your instrument by a squillion percent. I was blown away when I added active Alembic PUPs to my Jazz Bass. Let us know your thoughts when you install and try them out. slawie |

Wow - nice score! I've been wanting a set of these on and off for years now. I've got Activators in my Fender Telecaster Bass and love them. I guess with me and Rics I find that I am happy with the sound of stock Ric pickups so it's not as burning a desire as it once was, but it's still at the back of my mind. Anyway, I second slawie - looking forward to a report! I bet you will love them! |

Have them on a Ric. You will be really pleased. For a 72 4001? Very cool. Also like that the pickguard isn't cut. It'll make battery changes a little tougher (you'll have to take the whole piece off), but the split never looks quite right to me. dw |
