The controls are volume, pan, filter, Q switch, bass boost/cut, treble boost/cut. The volume does not affect the tone. The pan of course varies the mix of the two pickups from all neck to all bridge. The filter is a low pass filter; it passes the signal below the frequency you choose by turning the control. The freqency range of the filter control is 350Hz-6KHz; if you roll the filter all the way back, only frequencies below 350Hz will be sent to your amp. The Q switch has two positions, On (down) and Off (up). In the On position, the Q switch provides a 8dB boost at the cut-off frequency you've chosen with the filter control. The bass and treble boost/cut switches have three positions; 6dB boost, flat, and 6dB cut. Inside the control cavity are two trim pots. These pots adjust the output of each pickup so you can balance the two pickups two your liking and control the amount of signal being sent to your amp.
