It is a very beautiful bass, in my opinion. It has a lot of stage presence! The only drawbacks are that it is a bit heavier than normal and it is not the most comfortable bass to play seated, as the pointy ends slightly "sting" your leg. It is something that you can get used, though. As for playability, it is an Alembic. I've never found one that wasn't an absolute joy to play. The body style did not change anything on the playability for me.
