Check out the CTM Rio bass. There is a close-up of the front LEDs. Greg |

Hi Terry, how long did it take to have sims do the work. Is it just on/off or is there a dimmer control like Alembic offers. thanks Alan |

It took two weeks, there is a toggle switch but I am sure Martin Simms would put a dimmer control in if you wanted. Are you from the UK?? |

Oh florida..went twice wehn the kids were young..great place. Well it is much cheaper for me in the UK plus he can replace any LED's that burn out but when I spoke to him he said they rarely burn out and use very little current hence using the same battery as the pre amps. The plus factor is that it draws the crowds!! |

Heres my Essence 5 with retro fitted SIMS LED's. It runs off its own 9V battery, which I've had in for almost a year now with regular use and its still going strong. I have had no issues at all with them and its a very tidy job.

digbass..Sims offered a separate battery to me but he said it can run off the existig battery..it's a good indicater when it begins to run out. I invested in extremely high quality rechargable 9V batteries, I know they are frowned upon here but they save a lot of money. Your bass looks great with the blue LED's, I opted for the traditional red as seen in the link |

They don't supply a full 9V(usually about 8.4) and they die very quickly when they do go. The ones I have are the NiMH which don't have the fault of not charging up fully if they are charged before full discharge, on the older NiCd this 'memory' eventually destroyed the battery prematurely. I have 4 x 9V units which I use in the bass, the radio transmitter( 2 in use, 2 back up)and 12 AA rechargebles for my BOSS ME50B as I was sick of tripping up over cables and power pack leads. They were expensive(£12 UK for the 9V) so work that out in dollars but they are guaranteed to last for over a 1000 charges. In my view a good investment. |
