I set up my alembic europa 4 string. I put rotosound 45-105 nickel strings. I would like to ask if there is a way to tight the strings because there are leisurely. That is a problem when I play the bass (i play a little nervus my bass), or when I try to slap with it. I know that is a stupid question, but if anyone knows something I would like to hear it. When tuned to a certain pitch, the string will feel as loose or tight as physical laws, string design choices, and scale length dictate. I used to use 45-105 to all of my basses and I don't have the same problem yet. Maybe this happens because of the style of the bridge? I don't know. Maybe I have to increase the distance between the string and the fretboard? That would explain why the string woud feel loose. The new one was RS66LD. The old set I don't remember the exactly type.
