Can somebody confirm if the SF2 is build in a way that it is easy to use in Europe AND the States? I know you can switch the F-1X with internal jumpers to a different voltage, but is this also true for the SF2?

I have a possibility to buy a SF-2 from someone in the States, and want to be sure I can use it in Europe. Does it come with an external 115 VAC power supply which can be replaced with a 230 VAC power supply? Which specifications do I need to consider for this?

Or, is there more than 1 version of this unit produced for the different areas ?

I hope someone knows the exact answer to this.
Maybe the European users like Paul, Manfred ?

Thx
Jan

Hi Jan.
It is no problem to use the SF-2 in Norway. You just conect it with an AC/DC Adaptor with voltage between 11-19 volts.
Get hold of one and explore the posibillities...
All the best from Kol

Just remember to get one with the center contact as positive and you'll be fine.

Hi Jan, (not to forget brother Paul of course)

I was lucky enough to buy a SF-2 a few weeks ago. It will arrive in a few days. Since the power supply is an external one you need to buy a new one for 220/240V mains. Mica wrote me that it needs to supply DC (tip positive) with 10.5V - 17.5V. I need to find out the SF-2 current requirements before I buy a power supply and will post feedback here soon.

You'll need to know the tip size also. Mica can probably tell you. The DC power plug should have a certain inside AND outside diameter, if it is the usual DC adapter plug style we usually see. Make sure it is a regulated supply, too, you'll be happier.

Thanks Werner and Andy.
Anyone knows the diameter/tip specifications ?
