prowd new owner of an Alembic Europa ...98u11698usa Was in the Guiar center ,played it and had to have it.Very impressed by the Quality !!!!! Nicest bass I have ever owned,plan on keeping forever !!!!After seeing it I came home and got on this website which definately help convince me on the purchase !!!!! Welcome to the club, Jim. Yep, they're pretty amazing instruments. Within a small number of days you should get an official report based on the serial number, but in the meantime you might say a few words about the woods, or hey, maybe even throw up a picture? It appears to be a beautiful rosewood top,mahogony body,purpleheart and maple neck with an ebony fingerboard finished off with anawesome clear gloss finish !!!! Mother of pearl inlays with the wrong initials{I may have to change my last name ,first initial is ok}Side marker red led lights !!!!All polished brass and gold hardware !! Any help on caring for,storing and string height adjustment would be appreciated ! Thanks Jim |

There is an owner's manual here on the Alembic site, which can be printed out. Check the site index under "The Support". It explains many of the unique features of Alembic instruments. One of the first things I learned 5 years ago (with my first Alembic) was that unless you have a Series quitar or bass with the external power supply, the battery is in use whenever the bass is plugged in. If left plugged in, the battery will drain. With side leds, there is a separate compartment for 4 addditional 9 volt batteries, which only power the leds.
