Who is 'we' I hear you ask? That will be me and senior management, Jacqueline. We went to meet Edwin at The Bass Connection in Hilversum. Oliver Baumann (Senmen) also came along to join the party and he bought his Spyder 4 along for the ride too :-) Edwin's friend Manfred was also there too.

I'd just like to say at this point that it was an absolute pleasure to spend the afternoon with these guys. Edwin couldn't possibly be more helpful or more friendly, and the same goes for Oliver and Manfred.

It was great playing Edwin's new bass and also Oliver's Spyder (even if it is too heavy for me). Both are fantastic instruments!

Of course I was there to collect The Dragon's Wing. I was stunned by it - but more of that in another thread in the near future. It was great being able to share it, Edwin put it through its paces for me (I was wondering if I should just give-up at that point and sell it and go and buy a new car or something) and Oliver seemed pretty content sitting there and playing it too!

Enough of my witterings - here are some pictures of a very enjoyable afternoon!

Everyone loves a pretty girl with a lovely bass! The scenery gets worse after this though - so be warned!

Edwin gets dirty with The Dragon's Wing - well he did ask first!

Oliver proves that it's possible to play typrewriter-style on a Dragon!

Hi Brothers ...now that must ahve been real fun!!!
Well ...I couldn't make it to the "heavywheight championship". Bonnie would have loved the company and so would I.
But ...there will be other times!!
Enjoy playing the ladies boys (oh ...huh ...that doesn't sound right).

Paul the bad one!

PS: Spider Oli ...do I spot an Anonimo Militare????? ***sigh***

Guys,
it was really a great meeting last Wednesday.
Rog, many thanks for the great pics and many thanks allowing me to play the DW.
Paul TBO, yes the Spyder is heavy and I thought that Rog will get the same huge case as I have.
But still mine is unbeatable in size.... :-)
And yes, Paul, you are right. It is an Anonimo, not a Militare, but a Militare Crono Prototype.

Thanks Roger for posting these pictures.
It was a fun afternoon at Ed's BassConnection.

It really amazed me how different your Dragon sounds compared to Oliver's Spyder.

Besides that, it was a pleasure meeting you guys.

Best,
Manfred

Manfred, I'm glad that you like the pictures! Sorry I got your name wrong in the original post - I've corrected it now.

It was a pleasure meeting you too!

Cheers,

Rog
