Valentino, I thankyou very much, sounds like a winner !!!! I think the wide neck helped me with my decision to make this purchase along with what a beauty it is and all the other extras !!!
I tried to take some poloroid pictures which did it no justice so as soon as I get some better pics I will post them !!! I am 47 years old and this is the first bass I have had that is worth talking about in my 20 years of playing !!!!
Thanks again Jim

Hiya Jim!
Welcome to our happy tonal family. I'm sure you'll love the sustain and tones you can find with your new Europa. IMHO you should start with flat amp response and go tone surfing. You're gonna love the sounds you find!

Stand by for the "Paul poem for visual enhancement"

Wow! Nice specs. Is that a 32" scale with a low B, or a high C? I wonder what the low B would sound like on a 32" scale bass, does it work well?

Jim,
Welcome to the club. Your new bass sounds like a sweetheart! I can hardly wait to see some pics, although staring, playing, adjusting to, all take precedent..... something that everyone here understands.....and don't forget to breathe!
Enjoy

Thanks for the kind words everyone !!!!!!
To bsee,it is a low b and sounds great, room rattling !!!!!
Since I work in a carpentry shop and came across some nice oak from a skid that some eqipment came in,I decided to make a nice show/ display case for my new bass, so when I am not playing it I can look at it through the plexiglas/oak wall mounted showcase !!!! maybe some low voltage lights in the top of it or some rope lighting all around the inside of the case !!!
Am I getting carried away here or is this Alembic fever behavior ????
Also Mike,I do not have a decent amp yet and am looking ,any sugestions anyone ??? Thanks all

Jim,

No, you're not getting carried away (well, yes, of course you are, but not more than usual...). As an example, check out this case.

Welcome to the club. Remember, it's all about the music.

Bob, Thanks,I checked that out ,Wow !!!!!!!!!!
That gave me some great ideas !! I love the hanger and the Alembic logo cut out, also the mirror behind them is a nice touch,I had already thought about that but until I can order a mirror I think I am going to use a white formica behind the dark coco bolo bass which should make it stand out !!! Thanks again Jim
