Anybody using Elixirs on their short scale SC bass?i love the strings,i use them on my Epic 5 string,but don't want to waste the money if they are going to be a problem on my SC,they don't make a s/scale which is a shame,let me know guys,thanks,Julian. |

thats news to me ,they dont make elixirs in short?,those are good strings.but ron made only (i think)2 or 3 LONG SCALE small standard bodys, mica is holding one of them on the 'historical pics' (the little girl),they were too neck heavy,& alembic vowed to never make any more again |

however, 34 scale strings on a short scale?, the only risk is wrapping that thick string around the tuner runs a risk of snapping mainly the E or A string because of the thickness going around more than twice. |

yes, winding the extra on to the posts is what i am worring about,but the elixirs sound very good on my epic,i have used them on other basses also but not on a shorty,i will have to risk it i guess!!will let you know if i take the plunge. |
