I can confirm - It's a nice bass. I played it for a few minutes several months ago at Uncle Bob's Music in Milwaukee. It seemed to need some set up work (a little buzzy), so I would enquire about that. I was focused 100% on the electronics, as it was the first time I had played S2. The electronics seemed fine and the sound was great. The sound of the bass (played through a Peavey solid state head and a Peavey 410 cab) attracted a crowd of onlookers (What kind of bass IS that? What effects are you running it through (None)? I only spent a few minutes with the bass, but I can tell you it sounded great. The guy in the store said it was "highly modified". I assumed he was referring to the body style vs electronics, but that would be a good follow up to look into. The vermillion color was too red for my taste, but it looked like vermillion should. Overall, as I remember it, the bass was in excellent shape (looked unused). One other thing - I did not ask whether it was a Europa with upgraded electronics or an S2 with a Europa body (or for that matter, an Essence with different body and upgrade electronics - It's all so confusing!). So, that's what I remember of the bass. Bill |

Chrome hardware, no LEDs- its a Europa w/ Series electronics. Still pretty hot, though! Larry |
