We're all feeling sad and bit weird - it doesn't seem real at all, especially since we were going to see The Who next Wednesday. When I get home, I'm dragging out the old record player to spin my Too Late the Hero album and listen to those blessed fingers. |

People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation) Just because we get around (Talkin' 'bout my generation) Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talkin' 'bout my generation) I hope I die before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my generation) He had such a great tone and played great riffs. RIP Harald |

I heard the news at 7.30 this morning and spent a good half-hour sitting open mouthed. He was the reason why I (and many thousands more) took up the bass - especially the performance of 'Won't Get Fooled Again' on 'The Kids are Alright' film. I've just watched it again, and tied a black ribbon behind the nut on my Series II. So very sad... RIP John and God bless |
