Mica (et al), I have seen a Stanley Clarke for sale in Europe and want to know more about the history and (wood) options. The serial nr is 91SC6692. Thanks for your reply, Stefan |

Stefan, When looking at the sale of an instrument please be aware that this service may take several months to complete and the window of opportunity may pass. You may try and call the office and if the information can be located they will gladly assist. Thanks for understanding that this free service isn’t always expeditious due to the demanding schedule in Santa Rosa. Thanks, Art |

Stefan, Art gave you some good advice- If you're able to post a link to the sale or post a picture, the group here on the forum should be able to help you out with most of the options. |

Artswork99 and tbrannon, Thanks for your replies and the warning. I have a photo. One of the questions I have is about the wood used. The advert says it is Cocobolo but I am not sure about that. Looks more like the standard choice Rosewood.

HOLD THE PRESS ...... I questioned the top wood with the seller and he said that the photo I got is not actually from the bass for sale. The earlier photo is taken from the Internet. (probably a seller that thinks that Alembic's are mass production stock items....) The following photo is the photo of the actual bass for sale. This looks more like coco bolo ..

Sure looks like cocobolo to me in that picture. Signature electronics (Volume, pan, filter, filter + 2 Q switches). The purpleheart neck laminates make it a Signature Deluxe. With that body shape, you can almost be certain it's a 30.75" scale length. |
