Here's my rig :-)

Hairless cat sold seperately

I absolutely love and am inspired by my 1997 Orion. Got it brand new about 2 years ago. I plug it into an SWR SM-400 (very early model), Goliath II, and a Big Ben. Most of the time I run it biamped but sometimes full range for a little more rumble. After a hard day's work, this is nice to come home to. I have been playing roughly 21 years.

Note blown speaker in my Goliath II, hole plugged with the base of an old microphone stand. Can't wait for UPS to drop off the replacement...seems to be taking forever.

I love slap bass, and tend to play percussively. I play this bass hard and it comes back for more. Strings break but never hardware troubles. I tend to scratch the finish with these heavy hands, but I don't mind. It took me a year to master the dual truss rods (very sensitive) but now that they and I have an understanding, if I change guages for an off tuning or something, it rolls with the change nicely after a few tweaks and a few days to settle.

The cat quite enjoys the rumble, and when I am not playing the speaker ports allow her to use the cabinet as a hiding place. I just have to make sure she is not in there when I fire it up and start playing :-)

To the entire Alembic team:
This instrument brought my creativity out and is the best I have ever played and been priveledged enough to own. In the future, when paycheck allows, I am going for a custom model. You all did a fine job on this and have my utmost respect. Hats off to you all. Thank you and keep up the great work.
