Does anyone have any suggestions/tricks on removing the two 9V batteries from their recessed compartment. My Gosh, those things are in there tight! Destroying the finish would be a drag. I'm at a loss. Are all the batt,. compartment on the early Alembics this snug? |

It's the battery size that has changed since the mid 70s. Dela217's advice on the Power supply question? thread from 2005 may put you in the right direction as to finding "proper" size batteries. Hopefully others will chime in with more practical insights as to getting the 9V batteries out. |

Maybe if you superglue or epoxy a 'handle' to them you can pull them straight out. That's the only thing I can think of...good luck, Elwood |

Thanks to both of you. Good idea, elwood. Will a smaller 8.4V battery suffice for the Series I power requirements? |
