Alembic and MIDI

Any suggestions for me when it matters the midi module: for example, should I use roland or AXON? Any suggestion is welcome. Greetings from Holland (europe). Maybe you should pay Edwin another visit. It's right around the corner for you, isn't it? With some luck, you could give both systems a try.
