I bought this beautiful, mint shape Epic V last week (Craigslist) and have noticed the neck is unique!?! The 5 maple pieces that make up the neck are very different in shades.

Also, this bass has been defretted, and has a beautiful flame walnut body front.

Would love to know the build order on this one.

many thank, Bruceepic v

Hi Bruce,

Here's the details I was able to learn about your bass:

serial number: 95W9279
model name: Epic
model number: WLB5
top: Flame Walnut (Very Nice)
accent: Maple pinstripe
body: Mahogany
neck: 5-piece Maple
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: none
pickups: MXY56
controls: "Epic" volume, pan, bass, treble, mono output
originally made for: Gordon Miller Music
birthday: August 24, 1995

This was a special order, I picked out the wood for the bass after I spoke with the customer.

Forgot that the original owner was in Maryland.

Maple can come in lots of beautiful and differing shades. The two darker pieces are a bookmatch, just like the outside pair.

I also noted in the file that the bass is fretless now.
