So,after a long search for a used F-1X I finally found one on flea bay at a decent buy it now price($479.)and I'm chomping at the bit for it to arrive. This will pair with my SF-2 which has been my preamp for quite sometime. So some experimenting is in order. Currently the SF-2 is running in stereo mode with the low end being controlled in channel 1(high pass mode)and the highs controlled in channel 2(low pass mode)being fed into a Crown xTI 1000 amp and dumping into a Eden D4x10XLT. I hope to maintain this type of control. Any suggestions would be very welcome at this point and I can't wait for it to get here. The words from Flounder from Animal House comes to mind,"Oh boy.Is this great". |

I have checked out many preamp and signal processing alternatives from other manufacturers and and the Alembic SF-2 and either the F-2B or F-1X in combination remains my top pick. Congratulations. |

After a few gigs with the newly added F-1X,I can't understand for the life of me why I waited so long to add this to my rig.Along with the SF-2,it takes alot of the frustration out when setting up for different sounding rooms. My next quest is to find a great sounding 2x10 to slap on top of the David Eden D410XLT.I would love to go with an Eden D210XLT if I could find one made before David Eden sold the company. My GAS continues. |

I too, get great pleasure/tone from my F-1X/SF-2, QSC combination. I suggest you pair your 410 with a single 15, an EVM-15L or an Eminence 3015, instead of a 2x10. It's delicious. |
