Hello Mica and everyone, Just received this very nice classic Series 1. Formerly owned by Steve Humphries. I'm cleaning it and tuning it up, getting it ready for some serious jamming and playing. Here's what I know:
4 string w/ pearl inlays
Birds Eye Maple top and back
Mahogany body
5 piece neck-thru
not sure of the finish, looks like lacquer(?)
any other details you can provide would be very much appreciated. I'm creating a page to document its history. Thank you

Alicia,
I did a google search on, steve humphries bass, and the youtube video popped up on the top of the list. There are additional videos of The Difference playing that same gig at The Central.

Hey Nick, when's the next gathering? The Bass is ready for playing. I'm still working on a tribute page for Steve and his legacy. Cheers!

Nick Haas and I get together now and then. We have 7 or 8 Alembic's between us. Let me know when you have some time and lets set up a session. We both have decent places to play at. It would be a pleasure to meet you and get another look at your bass. I saw and played it at the factory in Cali over the holidays. I also bought the spare cable from Alicia last week. It's good of you to set up a tribute page for Steve. I am sure Alicia appreciates it.

Here is the link to the pics (because I haven't figured out how to upload any pics yet) I enjoy seeing photos when I'm reading a thread...
