Bought this bass! Have always wanted an Alembic... and it plays and sounds great! I know you're all in the midst of Holiday Madness, so I'll be patient regarding info.... by the way, I used to live in Santa Rosa in the '70's, but now reside in the sunny clime of Kailua, Hi.... The third picture was included with my bass, and was an old version... don't know if it left the factory that way or not, but it now has the Epic design...

The picture above shows how the headstock was cut, and Mahogany blocks were glued on and shaped to make the Epic shape... the last owner works at Hipshot, hence the de-tuner. Wasted on the B-string, just doesn't sound like much when de-tuned to A...
