I guess it`s been hanging around for quite a time, as I bought it as a brand new bass at a bargain price. I got my first Alembic guitar from a shop in Germany, it had been hanging round there for I think about 10 years unsold so when I bought it it was still brand new also. Amazing how it`s possible to shape the sound in so many ways, with one pickup only. Wow, it had been hanging around for a while! The first 2 digits in the S/N tell us it was built in 1999. That's a long time in the store. Could be it`s been "hanging" around in different places, as I don`t think the shop were I bought it was the official agent in Norway.
