I have the possibility to buy a Rogue 5 with the serial number 95G954-?
May be the picture is not good enough but as I see it's 95G954

But the letter for a Rogue is a "Q" and the production begins in 1996, so 96Q....

What do you think about that ?

my rogue has the serial number on the TRC, as well as stamped into the wood under the control cavity on the back (happened to notice it last night).

You could take the rear cover off, and see if the serial number is more clear there.

The letter could be C, for Custom. Does the body have the Rogue shape?

Epics officially started in 94, but there are a couple of 93 specimen around, with a W serial.

There's not enough numbers... Doesn't look like there could be 4 after the letter.

Maybe a look at the whole thing and I might recognize it.

Sorry this is an out-of-order reply to the very patient folks that were waiting for a long time, but I had to solve this mystery.

This is called a Rogue body shape on the work order, and the model is an RXB5 (Rogue eXtra long scale Bass 5). The serial number does in fact have a "G" as the identifier originally.

I know we had a previous model for Japan that had an "R" as the model code, so I guess we decided to change to a letter we hadn't used before and started using "Q" later. I'm not sure why this Rogue has a "G" in the serial number, but it's legit.

And a rather spectacular flamed walnut, at that; nice score.
