Hi all, Paulembic here. The Riif King and soon.. OhMyGa will be running (along with a custom fretless) soon thusly: Bass signal goes into a compressor (pedal board) set for a thick bottom and mild compression) out of a Morley A/B box then into a SWR 550X and then into a SWR Big Ben 18." Treble signal (ready?) goes into a compressor (pedal board) set for glassy top and warm mids then on to a Boss distortion box, a MuTron III envelope filter, a Boss Chorus, Boss Flanger, Tremolo, Boss Digital Delay/Reverb, then on to a Boss Loop Station, then out of another Morley A/B box then on to the rack which holds the Alembic preamp. The treble signal goes into a Korg rack tuner will then out to another SWR 550X, then off to a Goliath III 4 x 10 cabinet.. My 10-space rack will hold the Alembic preamp, Korg tuner, Monster power rack (which power manages all) both amps and a locked drawer for picks, straps, tools, strings, etc.Pedal board is the largest Pedal Pad model. All the 1/4 inch cables are neat as a pin with a Pedal Snake, right angles at the pedal board, straight ends at the rack. FYI, the Morley A/B switches let me click between using the Alembics and my other stereo basses. After years and years of increasingly complex rigs, it's gonna be really road worthy, tight, neat and well, worthy of Alembic. My work as one-third of Nashid keeps me busy on the basses, keyboards, saz, theremin, guitars, support and lead vocals, MIDI synth pedals, world percussion. Now to buy a 16-passenger cargo van. I'll post fulll pics whenever this all comes together a little later this year. Now to go back to work to try to figure out how to pay for the SWR stuff! ; ) luaP paulembic | ||

that sounds sweet! maybe consider a looper pedal with tuner out/mute for the pedal FX on the high signal. That's what I do with my bi-amp rig and it keeps the FX out of the chain until I want them there....and the tuner mute is way handy too. pics please!! |
