I have a Rogue 5 string on a four string neck. Takes a little getting use to the smaller string spacing. This was a custom guitar that a friend won in a drawing. It's got all the goodies: Quilted ash with purple heartwood, Ebony fretboard with the leds, and an Alder body this beauty takes 5 9 volt batteries. I run it through an F-1X to a Carvin 1000 into 2 Agular GS112's. With GHS bommers it's fat and deep. My other bass is a Charvel 4 string red lacquer acoustic with black flat wounds. I gig with friends that like Stevie Ray, Kenny Wayne Shepard, and Robin Ford and all the blues with Tommy Shannon. I love the sound of those Agular GS112's. Would any body please tell me about the Alembic Superfilter, would that make it go even deeper? Austin, Texas Ya'll.

Hi Townes,

a welcome seems appropriate.
I think A SF-2 will get you deeper.
In fact it will get you anywhere you want.
I foudn via the manual a setting that made me play ukelele on my 5 string.
Soundwise it's a huge tool.
Some of the brothers and sisters are seeing it as too complicate to manage.
It DO cost some time to get acquinted with the functionality and the amazingly sensitive pots when looking for your favourite setting.
IFF you go for it ...well ...sit down and wail around ...discover ...quest your sounds ... I play it as a mono two channel filter, I mean: I mix two "threated" signals into a "pure" signal. There ARE other settings that other people here prefer but ...well ...that's up to them.

BTW: there is A LOT written in these pages about that SF-2. Brother Paul Boulet started a great "overview" once. I printed it out but don't find the place anymore wjere I found it. LUCKILY we have Moder Dave who is absolutely BRILLANT in looking around these pages.
So ...let's call him!

Paul the bad one
