To Mica or whomever else this may concern, do you have the specifications and/or any other information related to my Alembic, serial # 90C 6186 USA?

Hi,
I posted this over a month ago and still haven't heard back about it. Do I need to provide any other details?

Gil,

The build information for all of the instruments is kept on paper cards in a traditional file system. Mica looks these up when she has time to get to them, which isn't very regularly.

I see you're looking to list this bass for sale. If you're in need of details on the electronics, perhaps a call to Alembic might get you the information or some help more quickly.

Lovely bass, btw. I love that color.

Here's what I found in the file:

top: Flame Maple
body: Maple
neck: Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony 1.75 x 2.75 (custom)
side markers: red LEDs
inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals
peghead: Reverse Inline
pickups: AXY56, wove bass pickup 1/4" toward bridge
electronics: "Signature" with custom layout
finish: Custom "Ron" blue (I'll post a picture later of the sample)
hardware: black painted, move tailpiece 3/16" closer to bridge
originally made for: Bass Centre, Los Angeles
birthday: November 1, 1990

Besides the original owner (who worked at Bass Centre) you are the only other registered owner (I have your 2004 registration in the file.

Cool bass!
(you have to re-register, Gil - your profile was gobbled up)

This is the what Ron sent to us to match the color:

He also sent us the blue cover for a techtronix oscilloscope screen that we returned to him. He was very specific about the color.

Thanks Mica, this is very helpful. The original owner was Mike Porcaro, who had the bass for sale through Bass Center. It really is an amazing versatile instrument with beautiful killer tone. What would be the price of a new one with these specs?
