Hi all. This is just an update information to say that I'm the owner of the bass since July 2013 and the bass flew from San Diego and is now in London, United Kingdom. The bass still behaves and sounds as it should Cheers, Alex |

Great news Alex. Drop us some photos on the forum when you get a chance there are a good few here who, like me, love élan basses. Jazzyvee |

Here's what I found in the file: Elan HLB6 top: Walnut accent: Vermilion pinstripe body: Maple neck: 11-piece Maple and Purpleheart scale: 34" long fingerboard: Ebony 2.482 x 3.560 inlays: pearloid (plastic) ovals pickups: AXY56 controls: volume, pan, filter, Q, mono output hardware: polished brass originally made for: Guitar Center, IL birthday: August 16, 1991 This was was repaired in 1993: crack in fingerboard, filed fret ends, repaired chipped finish on peghead and scratch on back of neck, truss rod cover was too snug. In 1997 the original owner had us modify the bass. He had gold tuners installed, a brass backplate (note that it might nt be flush), and upgraded the electronics to Europa (added the bass and treble cut/flat/boost switches). It was for sale in 1994 at Guitars and More in Indianapolis, IN. There have been a total of 5 registered owners, including yourself. |
