I have a Alembic P/J set of pickups and electronics that needs a new connector on the board and cable and need the parts. Someone hard wired the pickup directly to the board and I want to redo it correctly. Is it hard to hook this up to the pickup cable? Thanks, Dave |

Hi Dave, Putting the male connector on the board isn't hard if you are good with solder wick (or have a desoldering iron) to get the damaged part off. The trickier part is fixing the crimps on the pickup lead itself. If you don't have the correct crimping tool, it's a very difficult job. I sell a 2" lead with the connectors precrimped, the housing, and a short length of shrink tubing to make the splice for a couple of bucks. You can also send the pickups to me and we recrimp for free (you just pay shipping). Either way just ask and I'll thrown in a male connector for the board (I think they cost 11 cents or something). Email me and let me know what you want to do. |

Super-duper! I think sending the pickup to you is the way to go, and I can attach the part to the board myself. I'll email you. Thanks so much, Dave |
