Hello, I have an Orion from 2000 (2 band EQ) and I notice the treble pot is very noisy at times. It only happens on the treble pot, the other pots are solid and quiet, could it just be a connection at the board? Any ideas? thank you! - T |

Turn it back and forth about 40 times, that usually cures it |

Hello I should have mentioned I know the pots are self cleaning. I have tried turning them back and forth, initially it seemed to help but still getting more noise than normal. Thanks |

Could be a dry solder joint(looks very grey due to oxidisation, happens with age). If your soldering skills are good, you could use a solder removing syringe to remove the old solder from the pot, the wires usually stay where they are as they are threaded through the tang and apply fresh solder. Failing that, a replacement from Alembic |
