My first Alembic. Looks a beauty but will need some work - it arrived with no strings, no back-plate, three off-brand tuners and neck pickup not working. I'll probably be looking for assistance here in due course ... thanks! Steve

Welcome to the Club. The Bocate top is wonderful. (Or is that Zebrawood?) Is there an Alembic dealer near you? VMG (Message edited by FunkyJazzJunky on February 15, 2015) (Message edited by FunkyJazzJunky on February 15, 2015) |

Thanks for the welcome. I'm in New Zealand - so no local dealers! It's rare for Alembics to come on the used market here, so I was pleased to find this one. |

I couldn't find the file for this bass, but I can tell you from the photo that the: top: Zebrawood accent: Purpleheart pinstripe body: Mahogany fingerboard: Ebony pickups: MXY56 controls: "Epic" volume, pan, bass, treble, mono output I'll keep looking for the file, they usually turn up eventually. Meanwhile, do email me or call if you need order any spares for this bass. |

Thanks Mica! Great to have the information. The bass is looking a lot healthier now ... New pickup (thanks!), new machine heads, a good setup, lots of TLC and it's sounding great. |
