Welcome! These can take awhile to get processed- if you'll post a picture, we can take a look and get some educated guesses going for you. based on the serial number, it was built in 1993.... |

That's a cool looking birdseye top!! My guesses based on picture: birdseye maple top w mahogany body (and a seriously amazing grain- almost quilted- on that elbow contour) Epic electronics- V/P/B/T Somebody added that ramp after they got it... hopefully it's just double sided taped or something.... Mica gets to these requests when she has time, but sometimes it takes awhile. If you get a chance, explore the forum a bit more and create a thread for this beauty in the showcase section! |

Thanks! I'm very happy with it. Honestly the best bass I've ever played on. |

I did! They were very patient as I plucked around on half a dozen or more extremely nice instruments before I narrowed it down to the Alembic. |

Now that I've perused the forums a bit, I now realize that the back of the instrument is as important to people as the front, so here's the shot: |

Hi John, Here's the details from the instrument file: top: Bird's-eye Maple (a *really* nice piece!) accent: Purpleheart pinstripe body: Mahogany (another nice piece) neck: 3-piece Maple scale: 34" long fingerboard: Ebony pickups: Alembic MXY4 controls: "Epic" volume, pan, bass, treble, mono output originally made for: Midwest Music, OH birthday: November 18, 1993 Toby pretty much nailed all the specs for you. It was sold as a used bass by San Ash Music by a customer in Ohio in 1997. Other than that, and the add-on ramp that I've now noted in the file, that's all I can tell you. Looks great - love the top so very much! |
