Has anyone seen/heard/played through the NEW Trace Elliot line? I understand they should be well distributed through Europe by now, and some should be trickling into the USA around now.

If so...opinions? Are they as good as before? Better?

Mike,
I havenīt played yet, but I plan to do in the near future.
As you know I currently play an Eden rig but I am currently changing and am putting a rig like John together with the Digitechs, the ASS cabs etc.....

Mike.
From emails I exchanged with the new TE info line back in May, I don't believe they'll be hitting the shops until mid-october at the soonest.

Have any of you guys checked out www.rockstarsguitars.com they have a lot of Entwistle gear including 3 of his Sunn amp racks with the stramp preamps and cabinets from the 70s. now that would be the mother of all bass rigs to have! now Senmen you want to build an amp system like Johns, wouldent you rather play thrue HIS old amps that he used to play Alembics thrue man that would be awesome!!! somthing to think about? hummmmmm

Oh yeah, I've seen this.

And yeah, sure, I can afford it. AND haul it around.

But I bet the tone is DEADLY with a Spyder bass! That set-up of his circa '78, with the Sunn cabs, Stramp pres, etc. sounded the best to me of all his rigs.

The Stramps have been removed so you don't get those with the set up...also, as I understand it many of the cabinets were sitting in an out building at Quarwood for years, no heat, damp, etc. so I don't know what kind of shape they'd be in. Finally, to get his sound you'd have to turn them all the way up. The reason he went to digital processing ie:Digitechs and the like was so he could play more softly & get the distortion he wanted. I know only Oliver & Mike care about this stuff so I'll stop now.

Guys,
I already checked the things offered by Greg of RSG. The problem is, as Irwin said, that those things have been stored for years in a separate building at Johns former home. No one can guarantee if they are working. So I rather have decided to change my current rig to Johns last one, with the Ashdown preamp and poweramps, the Digitech 2120, Quad 4 etc.etc.
With this I have all the sound possibilites...

it was just a passing thought, one can fantisize alot when looking at that stuff. I would love to have it but I don't want to have to sell my house to get it ya know. well actually I would but my wife would not like living in a Sunn bass cabinet to much,

There's enough room in that rig for a family of four.
