Short scale set is not available in my country, i try a long scale 5 string set but the B string feels a little "floppy", so i change to E A D G C what results a better playability with long scale strings. I would like to use the B E A D G configuration, someone could recommend a good set for this bass? I don't think that "short scale" strings are the answer - a higher tension string might help - D'Addario Chromes are pretty high tension (but flat wound) - DR Lo Riders are round wounds with a little bit higher tension.
