1990 Stanley Clarke I bought this a few years ago, and I'm interested in selling it. I'd like to know anything I can find out about it: history, etc. Is this a Deluxe or a Standard. This is a beautiful "HOT PINK" or a "BUBBLE GUM PINK" stain probably maple. Assuming it's a factory stain and finish although I had no idea Alembic did this. Has to be a one of a kind. |

I've never seen one like it either. I didn't even know they did stains like this. And honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. The color just POPS. It's like a neon pink. And the condition is absolutely mint. There is not a scratch on it, only regular wear and tear. I used it on a few gigs, and it's perfect. I have more pics. If anyone wants to see anything specific let me know. I want to find out the history, and hopefully find a buyer through this website. But I want to sell it, so if no real Alembic enthusiast is interested, It's going to eBay, reverb, etc. You know, the general rabble. |

Well I was curious, and even though it's out of order, here's what I found out: top: Quilted Maple body: Maple back: Quilted Maple accent: Purpleheart laminates neck: 5-piece Maple and Purpleheart scale: 30.75" short fingerboard: Ebony inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals pickups: AXY4 controls: volume, pan, filter x2, Q-switch x2, mono output finish: Clear Flash Pink originally made for: Dan's Music, TX birthday: August 10, 1990 The original and second owners were both in Texas. The color "Flash Pink" is really really bright! It's a total 1990's neon extravaganza. The color is in the finish only. If you sanded it down to the sealer you could refinish in clear or any other color. The wood is not stained. |

Thank you Mica. Yes it's REALLY bright. I've tried to photograph it to show that, but it's almost impossible. Do it show in your records what the original price was? I've been curious how much it would have cost to get Alembic to do this in 1990. Current owner is also in Texas. He constantly asks, "What would posses someone to order this color?". You either love it or you hate it. Some people have said it's a crime to do that to an Alembic, and some say it's the coolest thing they have ever seen. So it is for sale, it's just a matter of determining a value. |

The signature decal on the peghead is kind of standard issue for the period, and it was the same for the Mark King and Edwin van Huik models. |
