Hi,

I just bought this Essence on eBay here in the UK. It's great - what can you tell me?

Thanks,

Simon.

I don't see the file :-( but I'll guess it was recently pulled and not yet refiled for responding to another request while it was on eBay.

From the picture, I'll guess:

top: Vermilion*
accent: Maple
body Mahogany
neck: Maple with Walnut pinstripes
pickups: MXY
controls: volume, pan, filter

*The picture is dark, but it could also be Purpleheart or even Bubinga. I'm marking the request with (u) in the title, so we'll check for it from time to time.

Sorry I couldn't give you more details.

Thanks for looking. It was the top I was most curious about, as no-one seems to know what it is. Someone had even suggested it could be Coco Bolo, which would be nice!

Maybe you could post another picture of the bass that might show off the top more clearly. I don't think it's Coco Bolo, however.

OK, here's another one. It has a lovely deep red lustre, which doesn't quite come across in the picture.Top

It sure looks like Vermilion to me.
