Help...the volume knob on my spoiler is loose. It's securely attached to the shaft. If you think about it as being the face of a clock, the normal turning spectrum would be from 2 to 10. When it should come to a full stop at 10, it keeps moving...ahhhh! I'm woefully ignorant regarding the interior guts...I only take the back plate off to change the battery on occasion. Any help fixing my old friend of 20 years would be most greatly appreciated. Thanks...

If you can spin the control knob around and around, then the stop in the pot has broken and the pot will have to be replaced.

It doesn't go around & around...there's still some resistance when it gets to "10"...it just doesn't come to a hard stop like it used to.

The stop is failing. If you are gentle, it will be fine for a good while before it fully breaks. Even after breaking, you can usually still use it - just gets squirrely where the stop was.

You might want to plan on having it fixed sometime when you're on vacation. Just send us the electronics and we can replace the pot and do the RF upgrade on it at the same time.
