Congrats on a great purchase! If you're comfortable with it, you can save yourself a lot of money by following the setup procedure that you find in the Must Read section of this Club. You can tweak the setup of an Alembic without much trouble, as they were designed to be adjustable. |

My Alembics (I also have an Epic 5) are the first instruments I've owned that I set up myself. I'm glad I learned to do it. There's nobody close to me that I would trust with them. One thing about adjustments. Just count how many turns you do and in what direction. If you goof it up you can always get it back to where you started and try it again. Rich |

Please be encouraged to do your own adjustments - then you don't have to explain to anyone else how you want your setup, just adjust it as needed. But, if you feel like you want to get a pro to get you started, I can recommend Guitar Showcase in San Jose. They are an Alembic dealer, and Terry Allen is especially well-versed in Alembic selling and adjusting. We are about two hours north of you, so you know you are always welcome to make an appointment for an adjustment lesson here. |

alarias, here's the best advice you're gonna get on this subject, happily possible due to your geographic location: TAKE MICA UP ON HER GRACIOUS OFFER . . . you won't be sorry, you'll have a great time, THEN you perfect for yourself what you learned on your visit. You can thank me later, and congrats on your EpicFive. J o e y |
