Both the original owner and second owner were in Wisconsin, so it hasn't travelled too far to be with you. The bass was here in 1990 when James refretted it on March 12. I'm pretty sure the neck lamintes aren't purpleheart. I'm guessing walnut, but my wife thinks they're mahogany based on the grain. I'm going to try to post some pictures this weekend.
