Hey Jim welcome. I read your post on this bass on the other string. Weight is a concern of mine too but I don't play long sets anymore (church mostly)so I should be alright. I am not sure if they make a 3/4 omega version in a series bass. I have a Mark King in a 3/4 Omega and its very light. SO if they do that may be the direction to go.
I won't get the Series bass until about a week but when I do I'll let you know just how heavy the beast is. (I also have a Mk 5 std omega and it's a monster. I wouldn't want to hold it up for 4 or 5 sets)

Hi Olie,

Here's what I found in the instrument file:

top and back: Figured Walnut
accent laminates: Maple
body: Mahogany, point carving
neck: Maple and Purpleheart, 34" long scale
fingerboard: Ebony, mother of pearl oval inlays, no LEDs
pickups: SC-1 and HX
controls: Series II
finish: clear gloss
hardware: polished brass
birthday: not recorded, but likely the end of September 1989
