Hi Michael,

Here's what I found out about 78-1249:

Series I MBI4
top and back: Coco Bolo
body: Mahogany
neck: Maple and Purpleheart, 32" medium scale
fingerboard: Ebony with mother of pearl inlays
pickups: SC-1 and HX
controls: Series I
birthday: September 21, 1978
originally built for: Rothchild

In 1999 the bass was registered to an individual in TN who just purchaed it from a friend. He wrote to us and informed us that the bass was in "fabulous condition. I had to replace the 5th fret inlay (can't even tell the difference) and I had the case reupholstered with this beautiful gold and red Victorian velvet." He also mentioned there was a minor ding in the finish by the bridge.

Sounds cool!
