Hi Mica
Bought this new at Guitar Center in 92/93. Did not have any documentation other than a tag on case that read Elan/Europa. Looks like std Elan electronics however.
Appreciate if you could look up the detail sheet.
thanks

Hi Mark,

Here's the details I found about your bass:

92H7064 HLB5 Elan 5-string bass

top: Flame Walnut
accent: Vermilion pinstripe
body: Maple
neck: 7-piece Maple and Purpleheart, 34" long scale
fingerbaord: Ebony with pearloid oval inlays
pickups: AXY56
controls: volume, pan, filter, Q-switch, mono output (standard Elan electronics)
originally made for: Trend Music
birthday: February 25, 1992

There's a production note that when we checked the rubout (quality of the finished surface), it was noted as "Perfect."

It seems from our records that the bass was not new when it was at Guitar Center, since it was made for another shop. It seems like a standard Elan, but maybe whoever GC got it from planted a kernal of confusion with them.
